Charles L. Hugo Charles L. Hugo, 79, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Sayre, Pa. on September 17, 1930, son of the late Lawrence and Delena Chilson Hugo. On February 14, 1953, he married Madeline "Dee" Esposito in St. John the Baptist Church. Mr. Hugo retired in 1969 at Griffiss Air Force Base, after 20 years service of in the U.S. Air Force. He was a former employee of Rome Strip Steel and Birnie Bus Company. Surviving besides his wife, Dee, are two daughters, Robin Rockhold, Rome, Rebecca Estel, Colorado; two sons, Eric Hugo and Keith Hugo, both of Rome; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Dean King, Florida; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Royce and Glenda Hugo, Arizona, Marlin Hugo, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Court, Utica N.Y. 13502. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
