AMELIA GAROFALO Amelia Garofalo, 92, formerly of 130 First Street, Rome passed away peacefully on May 12, 2010 in Auburn, NY. Amelia was predeceased by her husband Joseph Garofalo, her beloved daughter Joan Bush as well as her brothers Nicholas, Frank, Fred, Joseph, Dominick and Tony Sestito. She is survived by her son John (Marie) Garofalo, Houston, TX; her son-in-law Paul E. Bush, Auburn, NY; her grandchildren Paul H. Bush, Rochester, NY; Susan (Thomas) Orman, Auburn, NY; Jason Garofalo, Houston, TX; and Jill Garofalo, Houston, TX; her great grandson Joseph Orman, Auburn, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Amelia's life will be remembered in service to Christ, her family, and friends, old and newly made. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful Italian meals and her beautiful hand-knit creations made with love. Amelia's greatest gift was her kindness and attention to all; Amelia was a grandmother figure to many who affectionately called her "little gram". A service will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, 218 W. Court Street. Friends may call prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and no mass cards. Contributions may be made in Amelia's memory to Faatz-Crofut Home for the Elderly, 46 Grant Avenue, Auburn, NY 13021 or Auburn Alliance Church Building Fund, 630 North Seward Avenue, Auburn NY 13021.
