Obituary of Karen B. Sergio

Karen B. Sergio Karen B. Sergio, 50, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at University Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in Rome, N.Y. Aug. 12, 1959, daughter of Humbert and Theresa Nojaim Sergio. Karen graduated from Rome Free Academy and received her bachelor of arts degree in accounting at SUNY IT. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving besides her mother, Theresa, of Rome; are her father, Humbert, Utica; a son, Nicholas Dorsino, and a daughter, Nina Dorsino, both of Floyd; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Donna Sergio and her partner, Michael Olsen, both of Rome, Carla and Tom Scotto, Arlington Heights, Mass. Also surviving are a half brother, Nathaniel Sergio, Utica; a half sister, Kayla Sergio, Utica; nieces and nephews, Dale Yerman and wife, Virginia, Rome, Amy Yerman, Utica, Alana Yerman, Colorado, Kyle Richardson, Rome, Amanda, Talia and Andre Scotto, Arlington Heights, Mass.; two great nieces and two great nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Dina Sergio. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
