Anthony ' Tony ' A. Lucci Anthony ' Tony ' A. Lucci, 90, of Rome, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Betsy Ross Nursing Facility. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on August 28, 1919, son of the late Rocco and Pasqua Capponi Lucci. On June 28, 1941, he married Jennie Ann Stagnitti in St. Agatha's Church, Canastota, N.Y., a union of 69 years. Mr. Lucci retired from Rome City School District building maintenance department. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, I.O.B. of Camden, N.Y., Rome Moose Club, and former member of Rome Elks Club. Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving, besides his wife, Jennie, are a daughter, Patricia Ann Hinds, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a son and two daughters-in-law, Anthony J. and Petty Lucci, Lebanon, Pa., and Jill Lucci, Clarence, N.Y.; seven grandsons and five great grandsons. Also surviving are a sister, Josephine Peroni, Rome, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Rocco Lucci; two brothers, Albert Lucci and Peter Lucci; and five sisters, Mary Bruno, Rose Stewart, Dina Higgs, Emma Malorzo and Lena Procopio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Tuesday from 9:00-10:30 a.m.
