Anna Iozzo Anna Iozzo, of Rome, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Rome Memorial Hospital, with loving family by her side. She was born in Torre Di Ruggiero, Italy, to Nicola and Caterine Raimondo Pitaro. On April 16, 1949, she married Joseph Iozzo in Chiaravalle, Italy. They came to Rome, NY in 1950. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in January 2008. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Richard Worlock, Rome; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Marcianne Iozzo, New Hartford, NY; and a granddaughter and grandson, Stephanie and Eric Iozzo. Also surviving are sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Libby (Liberata) Iozzo, Rome, Teresa Sacco, Waverly, NY, Antonio and Silvana Iozzo, Messena, Italy, and Nancy Chieferi, Chiaravalle, Italy. Also surviving are a special niece, Anna Spence and family, Alpharetta, Georgia; and a special nephew, Tony Iozzo and family, Syracuse, NY; another niece, Maria Rosaria, and nephew, Domenico, in Italy; and a special cousin, Joe Yozzo, Rome. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. DiMarco and staff; and to Cathy Aust, Patty, Anne and Jody of the VNA, for their care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist church, where friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
