Raffie "Ray" Adamo Raffie "Ray" Adamo, 98, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility. She was born in Crotone, Italy on October 8, 1911, daughter of the late Salvatore and Rose Arcuri. Ray came to this country at nine months old. On July 11, 1931, she married Dominick Adamo in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away April 12, 1987. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Ray's life was dedicated to her family. Her marvelous cooking and baking skills were enjoyed by all. She leaves all with wonderful memories to cherish. Surviving are two sisters, Antoinette Colasanti and Sarah Bernabe, both of Rome; several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Kathie and Elaine. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Arcuri, and four brothers, Anthony Scalero (WWII), Thomas Arcuri, August Scalero and Peter Arcuri. Thank you to those on 3 North at Rome Memorial Hospital who loved Raffie and treated her with kindness. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where all are welcome to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
