Obituary of Mary N. Viscelli

Mary N. Viscelli Mary N. Viscelli, 95, of Rome, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at Rome Nursing Home. She was born in Rome, New York, on May 4, 1915, daughter of the late Archangelo and Annunsiata DeLorenzo Cianfrocco. On June 12, 1937, she married Stephen "Prof" R. Viscelli Sr. He passed away August 31, 1992. Mary was a former employee of Griffiss Air Force Base. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen R. Jr. and Marie Viscelli, Rome; grandchildren, Kellie and Joe Facciolo, Stephanie and Joe Cicci, all of Rome, Stephen R. Viscelli III and Melissa Wilde, Philadelphia, PA, Marialena Viscelli and Christina Viscelli and David Benn, all of Rome; great grandchildren, Victoria and Joseph Facciolo, Isabella and Antonio Cicci, Armando and Stella Viscelli. Also surviving are a sister, Assunta Biancucci; sisters-in-law, Paula Cianfrocco, Anna Cianfrocco, all of Rome, and Frances Buono, Cocoa Beach, FL; and many very special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family, Patricia Scaccia and her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter Cianfrocco, Naz Cianfrocco, Dominick "Dempsey" Cianfrocco and Mary Cianfrocco, Tom Cianfrocco, Stevie Cianfrocco, Adeline and Nick Rotolo, Tessi and Joe Ross, Chauncey Viscelli, Mary Viscelli, Madeline Viscelli and Joe and Mary Viscelli. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
