Frank L. Pacicca Frank L. Pacicca, 79, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at Rome Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on February 21, 1931, son of the late Ferdinando and Maria Voci Pacicca. Frank attended Rome Schools. He served with the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957, stationed in Monterey, Calif. On June 5, 1954, he married Grace Voci in St. John the Baptist Church. Frank retired in 1992 as head custodian from the Rome City School District, where he was employed at Columbus and Lake Delta Schools. He was also a former bartender at The Beeches and Savoy restaurants for several years. Mr. Pacicca was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Galliano Club, Rome Musical Club and South Rome Senior Citizens. Frank enjoyed spending many hours with his grandchildren and many trips to Florida. He was an avid fisherman, cook and gardener. Surviving besides his wife, Grace, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Michele Bathke Pacicca, Frank and Amanda Fiorini Pacicca, all of Rome; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Dan Loreto, Rome, Antoinette and John Becker, Canastota; eight cherished grandchildren, Jenna Loreto and her fiance, Jeff Tarbania, Danny Loreto, Justin and his wife Heather Pacicca, Eric Pacicca, Jonathan and Lyndsey Becker, Gracie Jo and Dominic Pacicca. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Ferdinando and Lucille Pacicca, Rome; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann Marie and Paul Schram, Rhinebeck, N.Y.; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, Jennie and Frank LaMonica, Rome; and a sister-in-law, Carmella Pacicca, Utica; several nieces and nephews; and eight God children. He was predeceased by two brothers, Carmen Pacicca and Anthony Pacicca, and a niece, Joanne Tramacera. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m.
