Isabel Mungari Isabel Mungari, 97, of Rome, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Presbyterian Home, New Hartford. She was born in Utica, NY, on May 28, 1913, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Timoteo Martucci. Isabel attended Utica schools. On June 6, 1936 she married Joseph F. Mungari in St. Anthony's Church, Utica, a blessed marriage of 62 years. He passed away May 31, 1998. Mrs. Mungari was formally employed as a seamstress at Anita Knitting Mill. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the former Acme Club, and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Pasquale and Sandra Mungari, Utica; two grandchildren, Dr. Joseph A. and his wife, Amy Mungari, New Hartford, Jacquelyn and her husband, John T. Vitullo, New Hartford; four great-grandchildren, Sophia and John T. Vitullo Jr., Joseph A. Jr. and Alexandra Mungari. Also surviving are sisters-in- law, and brothers-in-law, Carmel Martucci, Utica, Carol Garafalo, Rome, Antoinette and Augie Magnanti and Vincent Mungari all of Rome; and several nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; a daughter, Rose Annette Mungari; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary and Frank Rizzo, Rocco and Carmella Martucci, Joseph and Josie Verno, Vito Martucci, Dominick and Sally Mungari, Anna and Gaetano LaGatta, Benny Garafalo, Florence Mungari, Thomas and Barbara Mungari. The family would like to express their gratitude to Rhonda Wallace and her staff at Willow Park, Dr.Brehaut and the staff at Presbyterian Home Willow Unit including Chaplan Thomas Lorenz and Polly DiCesare for their care and compassion to Isabel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick St., where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
