Obituary of Joseph A. Cosimeno

Joseph A. Cosimeno Joseph A. Cosimeno, 66, of Jewell, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on July 23, 1945, son of the late Joseph and Dorothy DeFore Cosimeno. Joe was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. In 1989, he married Virginia Green in Camden, N.Y. Mr. Cosimeno was a former concrete truck driver for Cataldo Brothers for over 30 years. He also worked at Whitehead Sand Bed and Turning Stone Casino. Surviving besides his wife, Virginia, are three daughters and a son- in-law, Tammy Cosimeno, Rome, Jody Cosimeno, Florida, and Kristi and Dean Millington, Rome; step children, Sandy Schiffer, Camden, and Steven Schiffer, McConnellsville; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Mike and Mary Jane Cosimeno, Duane Cosimeno, all of Rome; a sister and brother-in-law, Olga and Jack Miller, Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
