Obituary of Rose Marie Rossi

Rose Marie Rossi Rose Marie Rossi, 82, of Rome, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 at home. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on February 18, 1929, daughter of the late Nicholas and Sadie Carletta Ricca. Marie was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. On October 4, 1947, she married Frank Rossi in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away July 28, 2003. Mrs. Rossi was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Michael Anthony Rossi and his partner, Shawn Gwilt, both of East Syracuse; a daughter and son-in-law, Holli and Terance Murphy, Albany; two grandchildren, Daniel and Rachel Rossi, Maine. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Mary Recco, Richfield Springs, Anthony and Sonja Recco, Rome; two sisters, Dolores Scholtes, Pahrump, Nev., Jeanette Romeo, Vergennes, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews, including Taylor, Andrew and Maggie Recco. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, N.Y. 13502. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
