Obituary of Mary Janet Rossi

Mary Janet Rossi Taberg - Mary Janet Rossi, 79, of Taberg, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Katherine Lutheran Home, Clinton. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on February 18, 1932, daughter of the late Michael and Ann Toti Realbuto. On October 14, 1950 she married Raymond A. Rossi, in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away November 6,1982. Mary Janet retired from Hutchings Psychiatric Center, Syracuse. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Shanks, Hemlock, N.Y. Ramona Rossi, Taberg, Mary Kay and Jerry Madonia, Florence, six grandchildren , Raymond Michael Rossi, Ft. Hood, Tx., Scott Shanks, Brazil, Cynthia Shanks, Hemlock, N.Y., Jason Madonia, Ava, Mitchell Madonia and Lydia Madonia both of Florence; three great grandchildren, Raymond Rossi Jr., Savannah, GA., Joseph Shanks and Raymond Shanks, both of Brazil; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, infant Mary Ann, Carol Realbuto, and Mary Anania. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Taberg, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome, on Wednesday from 4 -7 p.m.
