Kathe Rousseau
Kathe (Wolf) Rousseau, 83, formerly of Rome, passed away, Sunday, November 13, 2011, at her home in Doylestown, PA, after a long battle with End-stage Renal Disease. She was born in Volkershausen, Germany, on April 5, 1928, daughter of the late Johannes and Anna Eichenauer Wolf. After escaping from East Germany, she met and married, Marcel G. Rousseau, before moving to the United States. Her husband passed away July 7, 1983. Mrs. Rousseau retired from the Griffiss Air Force Base Exchange upon its' closing, after numerous years as a supervisor. She had a real zest for living, refusing to give up to her health battles and was described as a miracle by any doctor who knew her. She loved her family, gardening, being outdoors, and was adventurous with food and travel. She was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving Mrs. Rousseau, are her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Joanna Rousseau, of Austin, TX; her daughter-in-law, Patricia (Mastrangelo) Rousseau, widow of her son, Michael Rousseau, who passed away in 1981; her son, Dennis, and daughter-in-law, Robin (Minicone) Rousseau, both of Clifton Park, NY; her daughter and son- in-law, Louise and Robert Esposito, of Rome; and her daughter and son- in-law, Noelle and Matthew Picozzi, of Doylestown, PA. She had ten grandchildren who brought sunshine to her eyes, Cindy Rousseau, of Austin, TX; Jennifer Rousseau, of Rome; Jessica, and her husband Michael Texera, of Chaplin, CT; Elyse and Briana Rousseau, both of Clifton Park; Ashley Esposito, of Buffalo, NY; Olivia Esposito, of Rome; and Ian, Mya, and Luc Picozzi, of Doylestown. She was lucky enough to have two great-grandchildren, Giana and Rocco Texera, of Chaplin. Also surviving, are her younger brother, Gerhard Wolf, and his family, of Volkershausen, Germany; and her younger sister, Ingrid Tenner, and her family, of Vacha, Germany. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7:00 p.m.
