Congetta 'Connie' Frank
Congetta "Connie" Frank, 92, of Rome passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility. She was born in Utica, NY on March 11, 1919, daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Maggi Tursi. On June 29, 1958 she married Anthony Frank in Utica. Connie was a former employee of General Electric in Utica, and retired from Goldberg's store in Rome. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Connie was an excellent cook, baker, and a very loving person. Her greatest joy in life was family. She was a devoted loving wife, loving and caring mother, and a dear Nana and great- grandma.
Surviving besides her husband Anthony, are a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Anthony DeFazio, Utica; two grandchildren, Lisa and her husband Frank Nanna, and Anthony DeFazio Jr., all of Charlotte, NC; four great-grandchildren, Francesca, Christian, Riya and Anthony; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Gloria Tursi, and a brother Martin Tursi.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Rodger Bresrow at Slocum-Dickson clinic, Dr. Nicoletta Tallandini, and the nurses and aids at 3 North at Rome Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare facility, especially Kathy, for their kindness.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Inc, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Arrangements are by Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
