Dolores M. Oppito
Dolores M. Oppito, 92, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY on May 25, 1919, daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine Page. Dolores attended Rome Schools. On Sept 28, 1940 she married Leonard "Tom" Oppito in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away July 6, 1999. Dolores retired from the former Carl's Drugs. Mrs. Oppito was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Nadine Oppito, Rome; two daughters and a son-in-law, Camille and William Wehnke, Rome and FL; and Dorothy Bjork, Edina, MN; grandchildren Kristin, Zachary, Celeste, Lynn, Debbie, Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sean, Emilio and Gabriel. Also surviving are a sister, Grace Page, Rome; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; granddaughter, Laura; four brothers, Salvatore, Joseph, Donald, and James Page; two sisters, Margaret Mastrangelo and Katherine Laufer; and a son-in-law, Richard Bjork.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
