Obituary of Lucy Carro

Lucy Carro Lucy Carro, 95, of Rome, passed away Friday April 7, 2012, at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Rome, NY, on November 19, 1916, a daughter of the late Antonio and Olimpia (DeFina) DiStefano. On December 28, 1935 she married Larry Carro, in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away, May 05, 2002. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Carro, Rome; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Adelia Carro, Floyd. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Vito Carro; three brothers, Joseph, Thomas, and Felix Stevens; and two sisters, Rose DeFina, and Helen Carroll. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning, April 11, 2012 at 10:30 from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., prior to Mrs. Carro's funeral service. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Bethany Gardens for the care and compassion that was displayed to Lucy and her family throughout her stay there.
