Lena V. Frasca
Lena V. Frasca, 89, of Victor, NY, formerly of Rome, passed away, Saturday, January 19, 2013. She was born in Rome, NY on May 21, 1923 daughter of the late, Venturino and Assunta Bernardini Gattari. Lena graduated from Rome Free Academy, Class of 1942. On April 28, 1949, she married Enrico "Ricky" Frasca in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away April 1, 1996. Mrs. Frasca retired from Rome Developmental Center. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Lena was a woman of faith who always stayed positive and spread that light onto others. As a mother and grandmother she loved and cared for her family, always putting them first. Her presence will surround us always. May her soul rest in peace with the Lord and may she find eternal happiness alongside her husband, Ricky.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Jo Frasca, Sandusky, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Thomas Shortslef, Victor, NY, five grandchildren, Sarah and her husband Christopher Brennan, Nicholas Frasca, Amanda Shortslef, Kristin Frasca and Stephanie Frasca. Also surviving are a brother, John Gattari, Rome; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen Anania, Rome; Frank Frasca, Mountain View, CA; Ernest and Marie Frasca, Rome; Kathleen Frasca, Ann Frasca, Suzanne Frasca and Patricia Frasca all of Rome, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ricky, a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Anthony "Red" Spadafora, a brother and sister-in-law, Dominick "Lindy" and Josephine Gattari, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law; Charles Frasca, Lucas and Antoinette Frasca, Joseph Frasca, Albert Frasca, James Frasca, Edward Anania and nephew David Frasca.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
