Vincent A. Ciotti
Vincent A. Ciotti, 88, of Rome, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, NY on August 25, 1924, son of the late Arcangelo and Margaret Seriani Ciotti. Vincent graduated from Rome Free Academy. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII in the European Theater. On Dec. 28, 1946, he married Grace Vaccaro in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away July 7, 2010. Mr. Ciotti retired from Revere Copper and Brass as a cafeteria manager. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Vincent was an avid horseshoe player at Drummer Boy and Floyd Horseshoe Club. He enjoyed bowling and horse racing at OTB.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Paul Swanson, Rome; two grandchildren Patricia and her husband Neil Ranney, Boston, MA, Timothy and his wife Maggie White Swanson, Rome; two great grandchildren Ezekiel and Malachi and a great grandson soon to be. Also surviving are three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gabriel and Karen Ciotti, Patsy and Donna Ciotti, Anthony and Sue Ciotti all of Rome; two Sisters, Louise Snyder, IL. and Olympia Carletta, Rome; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Vic Vaccaro, Rome, Mary and Francis Stys, Whitesboro;Joann Ciotti and Palma Ciotti both of Rome; Ruth Fracola, CA. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Vincent John Ciotti, who passed away, June 1, 2006, three brothers, Angelo Ciotti , Louis Ciotti and Felix Ciotti; two sisters, Clara Montalbano and Marion Comito.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc. 218 W. Court St. and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 - 7 p.m.
