Rose M. Johnson Rose M. Johnson , 90, of Rome, passed away Monday March 4, 2013 at Betsy Ross Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Rome, NY on January 8, 1923 a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Soldato Lombino. She married Charles A. Johnson at St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away August 26, 1984. Mrs. Johnson was formerly employed at Oneida County Hospital, Broadacres and Polish Home. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Rose loved to cook and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandhildren. Surviving are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Albert Johnson, Melbourne, FL, Richard and Carol Johnson, Dennis and Laurie Johnson, all of Rome, Mark and Greta Johnson, N. Syracuse; four grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Michele Doeing, Joanne Johnson, Nicole Garland; two great-grandchildren, Jamie Grow and Eric Johnson; and a great-great-granddaughter, Ariana Johnson; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother John Lombino; and two sisters, Leona Evans and Mary Beckwith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W.
