Christina D. Coonrod Christina D. Coonrod, of Rome went to be with The Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2013 after a long illness with her family by her side. She was born in Rome, NY, on January 18, 1956 daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret Widrig Cosimeno. Christina attended Rome Schools. On August 12, 1972 she married Kenneth D. Coonrod in Vernon United Methodist Church, Vernon, NY. She enjoyed spending her time watching Gordy Button at the Utica-Rome Speedway, camping and visiting the Casino. Surviving besides her loving husband Ken are two daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Terry Kent, Rome, Heidi and Jon Thalmann, Westmoreland, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara Coonrod, Lee, and Charles Coonrod, Rome; nine grandchildren, Sierra, Mercede, Kayla, Michael, Kapri, Deanna, Rachelle, Mason and Dominic; one great grandson, Ryan. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Suzie Hand, Taberg, Nicholas and Mary Cosimeno, Clayville; four sisters and brother-in-law, Elaine Marshall, Rome, Fonda Garrett, Buffalo, Rose Ball, Lee, Ranee and Mike Archer, Westmoreland; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Margaret Cosimeno, a brother, Ed Cosimeno and a brother-in-law, Jim Marshall. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
