Mary A. Stone
Mary A. Stone, 91, of Utica and formerly of Rome, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. She was born in Rome, NY, on February 11, 1922, a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Barbieri Corigliano. Mary attended Rome Schools. On May 25, 1956, she married Warren Stone. He passed away on July 21, 2010. Together they owned and operated Munda's Superette, in Sylvan Beach. Mary was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Lori A. Ford, Utica; three grandchildren Jason, Kristi and Tynisha; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers Dominick, James, Jerry, Anthony and a sister Jennie Guggi.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
