John P. Domenico John P. Domenico, 67, of Rome/Town of Lee, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013, after a long illness. He was born in Rome, NY on April 30, 1946, son of the late Nicholas and Florence Occipinto Domenico. John was also the son-in-law of the late Patsy and Josephine D'Argenio Belmont. He graduated from Rome Free Academy. On October 6, 1973 he married Patricia Belmont in St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center. John and Patt met for the first time in kindergarten at Harvey E. Alter School. John was employed at OGS Laundry, State of New York. He owned and operated a cleaning service providing service to many locations in the Rome and Oneida areas. John was also a licensed barber. Surviving besides his loving wife Patt; are a special niece Lynn Marie Cortright, Havelock, NC; and a special cousin Shirley Peterpaul, Town of Lee. He was predeceased by a brother Nicholas Domenico, and a sister-in-law Eleanor Bostwick. John loved people and wanted to do what he could for them. His theory was if you don't laugh everyday, then there was something wrong with you. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 23, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W.
