Josephine K. DiDone Josephine K. DiDone, 89 of Rochester, N.Y. and formerly of Rome, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Unity Health Hospital, Rochester. She was born in Frankfort, N.Y. on February 8, 1920, daughterof the late Charles and Florence Callari Lanza. On November 20, 1948, she married Louis DiDone in St. Stephen's Church, Oriskany. He passed away January 1, 1996. Mrs. DiDone was a former employee of Stars and Rome Manufacturing. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Louis J. and Patrice Didone, Rome; a daughter and son-in-law, Ascenza and Philip Montalbano, Rochester; four grandchildren, Ascenza Montalbano-Pla and her husband, Alex, New York, N.Y., Lousia and her husband, Derek Masi, Rochester, N.Y., Louis P. DiDone, Rochester, and Kyle C. DiDone, Buffalo; a great grandchild, Antanelle Masi;a step great granddaughter, Vanessa Masi. Also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dominick and Lena DiDone, John and Mary DiDone, Anita Garafalo, and Mary Ensenat, and special friends Minnie Santoro and Helen DeAngelis, all of Rome; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Isadore and Mizzi Lanza, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and Roger VanSlyke and Louisa and Joseph Rizzo. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John"s the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
