Joan Mason Cannarozzi
Joan M. Cannarozzi, 82, of Rome, passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Pearl River, NY on November 11, 1931, daughter of the late Hugh Carleton and Helen N. Myers Mason. Joan was a graduate of Ryder College. On December 10, 1966 she married Emilio "Onnie" J. Cannarozzi in Rome. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving besides her husband Onnie, are a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Mary Ellen Blumberg, Oneida; a daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Jeffrey Barron, Westmoreland; two grandchildren, Kelly and her husband Adam Laemmermann, Eric and his wife Ashleigh Barron; and three great-grandchildren, Trent, Cole and Chase.
A private funeral service for immediate family members will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St., with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN 38101-9908.
