Janice M. Mazza

Janice M. Mazza, 56, of Turin Road, Rome, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in Utica, N.Y. on May 9, 1950, daughter of the late James and Mary Ellen Pugliese Lynch. Jan was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, class of 1968. She had a long, diverse career in nursing. Janice was a former member of Foothills Girl Scouts Council and was a tremendous animal lover. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity and compassion shown to many.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Michael Insetta, Liverpool, N.Y.; a son, James Mazza and his fiance, Jennifer Kosinski, Long Island; three grandchildren, Kiera, Nichole and Michael; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Rich Miller, Michigan; and two nieces. She also leaves many special friends, including Eva Fischer, Sandy Taylor, Helen Richards, and Darlene OBrien; and her beloved cat, Gabby.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Domimick St. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, INC., 218 W. Court St. on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
