Carmella M. Guaspari

Carmella M. Guaspari, 95, of Rome, went with the angels into heaven on Sunday, January 21, 2007 with her loving family and friends by her side at home. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on July 21, 1911, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Verrenti Spinelli. On November 15, 1930 she married James (Geno) Guaspari in St. John The Baptist Church. He passed away in 1962. Carm retired as a baker from Rome Hospital and was also a talented seamstress for many years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Karen A. Guaspari, Yorktown, VA; a sister, Connie Manuele, and sisters-in-law, Connie Spinelli and Elda LaBella, all of Rome; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and a special caregiver, Becky Mahle. She was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Ann Guaspari, three brothers and a sister-in-law, William and Marge Spinelli, Chester Spinelli and Danny Spinelli, and two sisters, Mary Spinelli and Conceptha Spinelli.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinsons Disease Research.
