Joseph A. Roser Sr.
Joseph A. Roser, Sr., 66, of Blossvale, passed away Monday, February 12, 2007. He was born in Rome on August 9, 1940, son of the late Adolf and Ruth Meyers Roser. On October 21, 1961,he married Alberta M. Coonrod. She passed away April 24, 2002. He later married Margaret Ann Jones on August 30, 2003. Joe was an heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Lee Mobile Homes, Lee Center. Mr. Roser was a member of St. Marys Church. Joe was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed horseshoes and playing cards. He was a former member of the Rome Moose Club.
Surviving besides his wife Margaret are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Constance Roser, Melbourne, Fla., Jack Roser, Rome; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mike Harney, Rome; a step son, Robert Jones, Rome; a step daughter, Geraldine and her husband James Bauer, Syracuse; eight grandchildren, Joseph III, Brandi, Ashley, Adam, Kaeli, Robert, Jacob, and Melissa; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Joyce Roser, Tennessee; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Tito Castro, Rome; two brothers-in-law, Albert Brockway Jr. and Howard Brockway, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard Roser and Kenneth Roser, Sr., and two sisters, Terry Fichera and Dorothy Rawlings
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. Marys Church at 11:00 a.m. Spring burial will be in McConnellsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Court, Utica, N.Y. 13502.
