Joseph A. Page
Joseph A. Page, 82, of Rome, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on December 13, 1924, son of the late Anthony and Josephine Mancuso Page. Joe was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1943. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Page was an employee at several area pharmacies. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Dolores Oppito, Grace Page, and a brother, Salvatore Page, all of Rome. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Genevieve and husband Frank Combopiano, Josephine James, Anthony and wife Marie Laufer, Anita and husband Peter Zakala, Camille and husband Bill Wehnke, all of Rome, Dorothy and husband Richard Bjork, Minnesota, and Thomas and wife Nadine Oppito, Rome; and several grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Laufer and Margaret Mastrangelo, and two brothers, James Page and D. Donald Page.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday (today) from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
