Thomas P. Procopio Obituary
Thomas P. Procopio , 87, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on June 25, 1920, son of the late Samuel and Mary Procopio Procopio. Tom served with the U.S. Army during World War II. On October 7, 1950 he married Lena Lucci in St. John The Baptist Church. She passed away December 5, 2003. Mr. Procopio retired from aircraft maintenance at Griffiss Air Force Base. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and former member of Rome Moose Club.
Surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gordon Bruno, Josephine Peroni, Yolanda Lucci and Tony and Jennie Lucci, all of Rome; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Rose Campanaro, Josephine Bruno and Connie Wallace, and a brother, Joseph Procopio.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
