Irene T. (Kutsko) Versace Irene T. Versace, 84, of 159 Riverview Parkway North, Rome, passed away peacefully at Rome Memorial Hospital on Saturday, December 22, 2007 after a long illness. She was born in Mechanicsburg, PA on May 12, 1923, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Soltis Kutsko. Irene graduated from Rome Free Academy. On September 27, 1947 she married Michael A. Versace in St. Marys Church, Rome. Michael passed away January 31, 1998. Irene was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the Marion Guild, and the Bread of Life Prayer Group. In 1983, she retired from Marcy Psychiatric Center. Irene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. Surviving are her loving childred, Joanne Rossi, Rome, Diane Kehoe, Rome, Jean Versace, Baldwinsville, NY, Michele and her husband Anthony Smith, Rome; and David Versace, Colorado Springs, CO; nine grandchildren, Michelle and her husband Thomas Scott, Carla and her husband Robert Seymour, Jason Kehoe, Candance Foote, Karrie Kehoe, Chad Kehoe, Morgann Smith, Tyler Smith, Michael and his wife Kirsten Versace, and Eric Versace; and a great-grandson Another Seymour. Irene is also survived by her sisters, Helen Greene, Florence, CO, Sister Rosalind (Leona) Kutsko, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Julia Palladino of Decatur, AL, and Sister Rosemarie (Lucille) Kutsko, Tonawanda, NY; sisters-in-law Lena Versace, FL, Caroline Versace, Rome, and Sophia Kutsko, Clinton, several nieces and nephews, and a special friend Mrs. Alice Coleman, Rome. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Anthony Rossi Jr.; a grandson, James Mark Kehoe; three sisters, Margaret Filarsky, Regina Guiliano, Joan Salvaggio, and three brothers, Stephen, Elmer, and Joseph Kutsko. The family would like to express deepest gratitude to Dr. Potluri and the Rome Memorial Hospital staff for all their care and compassion. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10:15 AM from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-7 P.M. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church memorial fund or Jervis Public Library.
