Thelma Fiorini

Thelma Fiorini, 87, a resident of Rome Nursing Home, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007. She was born in Rome, NY on January 27, 1920, daughter of the late Francisco and Antoinette Tassone Sgambellone. On April 24, 1946, she married Donald L. Fiorini in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away November 4, 1983. Thelma was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.

Surviving are a brother, August Sgambellone, Rome, and several nieces and nephews, including, David and Donna Calandra, Holland Patent. She was predeceased by three brothers, Dominick, Anthony, and Joseph Sgambellone, and three sisters, Mary Oppidisano, Justina Sastri and Grace Calandra.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St, on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund or American Diabetes Association.
