Joseph A. Zigrino, III, 23, of 102 N. Charles St., passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, March 15, 2009, at his home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on July 20,1985, to Pauline Tagliere and Joseph Zigrino Jr. Joey attended and graduated Rome schools. If someone needed a haircut they came to see Joe. He loved working and interacting with children and was always interested in sports. Joey played hockey for eight years and was best known as a goalie for Rome Hockey. He loved the Yankees and was an avid snowmobiler. Joey was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Paula, his father, Joe, the love of his life, his daughter Savona Maria Zigrino, and a sister, Kali Zigrino, all of Rome; a brother First Sergeant Adrian Tagliere, USMC, and his wife, Andrea, and their daughter, Gianna, San Diego, Calif. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Nancy Tagliere, and paternal grandmother, Beverly Zigrino, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Eustacchio "Mac" Tagliere, his paternal grandfather, Joseph A. Zigrino, Sr., and two cousins, Joshua Tagliere and Nicholas Baker. Joey will be sadly missed by all who knew him. WE ALL LOVE YOU. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
