Obituary of Jessie Gualtieri

Jessie Gualtieri Jessie Gualtieri, 85, of Rome; passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Rome Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Rome, NY on May 14, 1922, daughter of the late Dominick and Rose Renzi DiCaprio. On December 6, 1941, she married Frank Hank Gualtieri in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away November 16, 2006. Mrs. Gualtieri was a former employee of Revere Manufacturing Company and Loblaws Grocery Store. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Jessie enjoyed cooking, crocheting, bowling, Bocce and crafts. She was the backbone of her family and led with a loving heart. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet Fulgieri, Jean and Gary Millinton, all of Rome; grandchildren, Angelo and wife Kathy Fulgieri, Maria Fulgieri, Michael Fulgieri and fianc Carolyn Boshart, Gary and wife Kim Millington, Dean and wife Kristi Millington, and Amy Millington, all of Rome; great grandchildren, Chesira Jessie Fulgieri, her namesake, Taylor Fulgieri, Gary Millington III, Derek Millington, Hailey Millington, Austin Millington, Autmn Millington, and Taylor Boshart. Also surviving are a sister, Dolly Bragg, several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew, George and Toni Coote, and brothers-in-law, Don Robinson and Bob Harmon, all of Rome. She was predeceased by her husband, Hank, son-in-law, Angelo V. Fulgieri, infant great grandson, Cameron Fulgieri, on sister, Mary Esposito, three brothers, Alfonso DiCaprio, Joseph DiCaprio and Robert DiCaprio. The family would like to express a special appreciation to the staff of 2 North at Rome Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, American Heart Association, or St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
