Angela M. Cicconi , 92, of Rome, passed away Thursday March 19, 2009 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on April 9, 1916 daughter of the late Vito and Carmella Summa Glasso. On April 27, 1940,she married Vincent J. Cicconi in St. John The Baptist Church. He passed away April 11, 1990. Mrs. Cicconi was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Carol Cicconi, and a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Gordon Donohue, all of Annapolis, MD.; grandchildren, William Kunigonis and Suzanne Hyatt, Sarasota, Fla., Jill and Edward Gordon, Berlin, Md.; Melisa and Will Steffens, Annapolis, Md., Trent and Dawn Donohue, East Hampton, Conn., Kimberly Donohue and Ryan Bush, Chittenango, N.Y., Diana Donohue and Ryan Nelson, Brooklyn, N.Y.; great grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, Aydin and Kathryn Gordon, Sloane and Sadie Steffens, Emma, Maggie and Jace Donohue. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Margaret Glasso, Rome, Leonard and Joan Galasso, Bluffton, S.C.; a brother-in-law, Gregory George, Rome; and several nieces and nephews, including David Jackson, Patricia and George Christoupoulos, Gregory and Barbara George, Marianne and George Huggins, Eileen Ginsberg, Susan and John Nastro, Carolyn and Walter Tirenin, Gregory and Cathy Galasso, and Andrea Galasso; and many great nieces and nephews. She also leaves special friends, Rose Mattia, Betty Maracchion, John Falcone, and Jennifer and Tim Purrington. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent, and two sisters, Greta Glasso and Grace Felardo. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Rome Memorial Hospital for the care and consideration they provided. Relatives and friends may call from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. Funeral services will be held at a later date of Monday, April 6, at St. John the Baptist Church, with burial in St. John's Cemetery to follow.
