Christine Snyder

Christine Snyder, 78, of Brockport, NY, formerly of Rome, passed into God's care on Sunday, April 6,2008 in Brockport. She was born in Rome, NY,On February 12, 1930, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Lago Palmon,and was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. Christine married Donald E. Snyder, who passed away on January 6, 2000. She lived in North Bay for many years before moving to Brockport two years ago where she became active at the Sweden Senior Center and gained many treasured friends.

Surviving are two beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Jr. and Janet Snyder, Rochester, NY, Robert and Betty Snyder, Malta, along with her beloved grandchildren, Scott and Jeffrey Snyder, and Angela (John) Wathen and Jessica Snyder; and two great grandchildren, Shane and Aiden. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Alfonso and Shirley Palmon, Whitesboro; mother-in-law, Harriett Snyder, North Bay; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Joaquin and Manuel,and a sister Mercedes.

Her family would like to express their appreciation to her many beloved and supportive friends and family members, and to her caregivers at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, and Lakeside Beikirch Care Center.

Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church,Rome,N.Y., where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Fish Creek Cemetery, Verona Beach.

Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 W. Court St. Rome N.Y. on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christines memory may be made to the Sweden Senior Association, Inc.,133 State St, Brockport, N.Y.14420
