James Corigliano , 51, of Rome, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on September 26, 1957, son of the late Anthony and Sarah Giardino Corigliano. Jim graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1975 and attended SUNY Plattsburgh, where he graduated in 1979 with a bachelor's of science degree in accounting. On August 29, 1981, he married the love of his life, Michelle Ciccotti in St. John The Baptist Church. Mr. Corigliano attended LeMoyne College and graduated in 1998 with a master's of business administration. He worked for the Office of Inspector General, Albany, N.Y. and Air Force Audit Agency at Griffiss Air Force Base prior to his 19 years with National Grid. Mr. Corigliano was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving besides his wife, Michelle, are two beautiful sons, Nicholas James Corigliano and Steven Philip Corigliano, all of Rome; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Ray Liuzzi, Whitesboro, Geraldine and Pat Merola, Walnut Creek, Calif.; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Andrea Corigliano, Canandaigua, N.Y. Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony "Tokes" and Phyllis DeMario Ciccotti, and two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Mindy and David Marino and Marisa Ciccotti, all of Rome; and several adored nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jim requested a special note of thanks to all his friends and co-workers at National Grid for all the support and friendship throughout the years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Research Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, N.Y. 10065.
