Obituary of Nancy C. Boulanger

Nancy C. Boulanger Nancy C. Boulanger of Rome, age 80, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Saturday July 19, 2014 at Rome Memorial Hospital. Nancy, the daughter of the late Fay and Annaminz Pealing Reibenacht, was born December 21, 1933 in Whitesboro, N.Y. She was a graduate of Whitesboro High School and received an education in Floral Design. While raising five children of her own in Remsen, NY, she welcomed over thirty foster children into her home including a very special foster son John Schrader. She was an active member of the community, volunteering for many organizations including Girl Scouts, Fort Nightly Club, Home Bureau and Remsen's Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. On May 6, 1989 she married George Boulanger of Rome, NY. They enjoyed a loving marriage and shared eight children, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. After moving to Rome, NY, Nancy quickly became a member of community organizations such as Rome Twigs, Fort Stanwix Garden Club, the Rome Art and Community Center, and Saint Peter's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband George, her children Kathleen Miller, Colleen (Edwin) Williams, Laureen (Michael) Woolheater, Michael F.(Renee Migliaccio) Martin Sr. and Eileen Martin. Eight grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Jessica, Ronnie, Ryan, Amanda, Meghan and Molly and sixteen great grandchildren. Nancy's stepchildren are, Paul (Jennifer) Boulanger and Jane (Ronald) Barnes And step grandchildren Paul Boulanger Jr, (Christina), Sara Boulanger (Ryan Miller), Jason Boulanger and Adam (Laura Schilling) Boulanger, Amy Schmidt (Nick) and Eddie Barnes (Katie). Two special friends Kurt and Margaret Sunderland. Nancy was predeceased by her grandsons Michael F. Martin Jr. and Dan LaGasse and stepson Michael Boulanger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church where friends are invited to attend. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Marcy. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc., 218 West Court St. on Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00p.m on July 23, 2014.
