Lola Raulli
Lola Raulli, 91, of Rome, entered into rest Sunday, November 2, 2014 at St. Luke's Home, Utica, NY after a brief illness. She was born in Rome, NY on November 30, 1922, daughter of the late Agostino and Elvira Macciocca Raulli. Lola was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. After graduation, she came down with an illness that she struggled with for her entire life. Lola loved to greet people entering St. Luke's home. She loved to bowl and was on their table bowling team which earned her many trophies over the years. Everyone knew Lola. She loved parties, flowers and spending time with others and making them smile.
Surviving are nieces and nephews, Sharon Leight, Florida; Albert and Marlene Ritchie, Denise and Dominic Longo, all of Utica, Christopher and Pamela Raulli, Marie and William Borrill, all of New Hartford, Lucille and Tony Stolo of North Carolina, James and Patricia Ritchie, Elvira and Richard Garofalo, Agost and Lynn Ann Raulli, Mark and Deborah Raulli all of Rome; Rocco and Susan Procopio and Angela and Glenn Coghlan, all of Virginia. Lola also leaves several great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who watched over her at St. Luke's Home. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and James Ross, Della and Albert Ritchie, Olga and Anthony Procopio, Mary Raulli, brother Eustacchio (Ray) and Rose Raulli and nephew John Ritchie.
The family would like to take this opportunity to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Nurses and Staff at St. Luke's Home, Barton West for their compassion and special care extended to Lola. Also, a special thank you to LuAnn Alsheimer and Lisa Anweiler who always made Lola smile.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., Rome.
