Amelia M. Pinti
Amelia M. Pinti, 90, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born in Rome, NY, on January 12, 1924, daughter of the late Daniel and Assunta Signaigo Diaspro. Amelia graduated from St. Aloysius Academy Class of 1942 and was a graduate of Utica School of Commerce. On April 11, 1953, she married Quintus "Quinnie" J. Pinti in St. Peter's Church. He passed away, December 26, 2012. Amelia was formerly employed as an executive secretary for Revere Copper and Brass. She and her husband "Quinnie" owned and operated Diaspro's Grocery Store, retiring in 1978. Mrs. Pinti was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Church and it's Altar Rosary Society. She was an active volunteer at Catholic Schools and Stonehedge Nursing Home. Amelia enjoyed her home and her books and collecting memorabilia from the many vacations she and her husband had taken.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Wayne Cacciatori, Rome, a son Daniel Pinti, Tampa, FL, a granddaughter, Jenna and her husband Warren Frame, Rochester, NY.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Sister Rosaire Anne De Mare, Ruthie Nichols, Donna Jones, and the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of ST. Elizabeth Medical Center and Bethany Gardens.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St. and at St. Peter's Church at 11:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
