Natale "Lino" Palmieri
Natale "Lino" Palmieri, 74, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Rome Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Crotone, Italy on March 29, 1940, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Rizzo Palmieri. Natale served with the military in Italy. "Lino" came to the United States in 1966. On December 3, 1966, he married Carmella Belmonte, in St. John the Baptist Church. Mr. Palmieri was employed at Rome Strip Steel for 35 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving besides his wife Carmella, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Jason Szczesniak, JoAnne and Michael Bostwick, all of Rome, five grandchildren; Sabrina, Marissa, Lauren, Michael and Jianna. Also surviving are four sisters, Tina, Milita, Rose and Margaret and her husband George, all of Italy, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Larry Belmonte, Frankfort, Frank and Barbara Belmonte, Michael Belmonte all of Rome, Adele and Ron LaMark, Holland Patent and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony and Marie Belmonte and Adele Belmonte.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m.
