James W. Glover
James W. Glover, 66, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at home. He was born in Rome,NY, on June 30, 1948 a son of the late Robert and Ethel VanDresar Glover. James was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and Mohawk Valley Community College where he recieved an Associate Degree. He proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam as a CPL. from 1967-1969. James received the Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement while serving in Vietnam with Company G, Second Battalion, Ninth Marines and received a Purple Heart. He was a registered nurse with CNYDDSO, Rome and a member of Rome VFW and American Legion.
Surviving are two sons; Jamie Glover, NC and Matthew Glover, Rome, two daughters and a son-in-law; Tricia and Paul Guenette, Albany, NY and Alexis A. Clements, Rome, eight grandchildren; Luke, Noah, Jonah, Daniel, Wyatt, Piper, Abby and Benny. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Nancy and Butch Thurston, CA, Cindy Carelli, Rome, and Colleen and Kevin Burke, FL and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Douglas Clair and a sister Karen Sansoucy.
There are no services or calling hours. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
