Sincerest sympathies to Doug's family and friends. Doug was truly the most likable person, sharing his infectious smile and charismatic joy with everyone around him. He taught us to take a moment to smell the flowers, sing a song, read a note, help a friend, play a game, make someone else smile; appreciate the goodness of the moment you are in right now. He was one of a kind, and the world will be a little emptier without him.

Our families have been friends for many years. We still remember
Dougie's smile and the amazing way he could flip a coin through his fingers. Hard to believe that he's gone.
So sorry for your loss.

Douglas Santillo was more than just my Uncle. He was a son, a brother, and a ray of sunshine to everyone he encountered. He exuded innocence and enjoyed the simple things in life; a hug; a car ride; pasta and meatballs; cheese doodles; coffee; notes; a bus ride; his friends; his staff. He made us smile like no one else could manage with his very bright light and innocent ways. Uncle Doug, it was a pleasure to have known you in my life; you won't ever be forgotten. Love and miss you terribly; "Joy".

I used to work with Dougie at the Arc on Arnold Avenue. I was sad to hear of his passing. Dougie was a sweet man that I will always care about. God bless his family in this troubling time.
