Uncle Jim - always making his arm muscle dance. Fixing anything that needs it (sometimes after breaking it first.) Making sure Aunt Isabel's blood pressure stays high. Posing as brother-in-law Joe's father - the 2 of them always in trouble.

Isabel,Aunt Joan,Uncle Joe,Ashley and Justin. My thoughts & prayers are with you right now during this trying time. I only knew Mr. Mannino on my "once a year visits" to Rome as a kid, but remember him being a very warm passionate man. He will be truly missed.

I too remember Mr. Mannino during our yearly visits to Rome. He used to talk about repairing or building things. He had a lot of "spunk" and had an incredible spirit! Sorry I can't make the trip up, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone.

Uncle Jim was a constant presence in my life and whenever we remember the outstanding moments, he was usually there.
One of my fondest memories is of my son Jason's first hearty laugh. He was just a few months old and suddenly we heard him laughing out loud. When I went into his room, there was Uncle Jim on a ladder, putting up curtains in his room and making faces at him from above. Jason laughed until he spit up.
That was Uncle Jim. Always delivered a laugh to us...right to the end when he told me I was "just like" his wife...when I asked why, he said, "You're standing in the way of the TV"...
We will all miss him terribly. Another light gone from the family tree....
Love you, Unc

Will always remember Jim helping with whatever needed to be fixed when we all lived in Virginia. He had a great sense of humor and liked to converse. When visiting Joan and Mark we would often see Jim and Isabel there too and it was always a nice visit. You could just tell that Joan, Ashley, Justin and Elaina were his pride and joy. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been hearing stories of Ashley's Papa for as long as I've known her, and I know how much he meant to all of you. You all have my deepest sympathy.
