Obituary of Anne B. Fazio

Anne B. Fazio Anne B. Fazio, 92, of Rome passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at Bethany Gardens. She was born in Lee Center, NY, on April, 24, 1922 a daughter of the late Konstanz and Regina Ray Butkiewicz. Anne graduated from Rome Free Academy Class of 1939. On April 15, 1942 she married Joseph Fazio in New York City. He passed away November 19, 1999. Anne retired from Griffiss Air Force Base. She was an active member of St. Peter's Church, a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and was also a CSJ Associate for twenty years. Anne was a great golfer and cook. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Linda Fazio, Richard and Kathy Fazio, a step-son Joseph Fazio, Jr. and his wife Sheila, all of Rome, grandchildren; Ronald Fazio and his wife Theresa, Rome, Sean Fazio and his wife Heidi, Canyon City, CO, Mark Tamburino, Nashville, TN, Ashley Cole and her husband Curtis, Clifton Park, NY and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joe, a step-daughter, Patricia Walsh and her husband Jack, six sisters; Jennie, Virginia, Theresa, Helen, Sophie, Frances and a brother Joseph. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff on the sixth floor of Bethany Gardens, for their care and compassion shown to Anne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund, 105 E.
