I'll always remember Uncle Wally as fun, entertaining, personable, smiling, loving, just like our Mom was. he always had an affection for us kids - he treated us to Slim Jims, beef jerky and sodas when our Mom and Dad stopped by the Stein House and we played shuffleboard in the dining area. That was a big treat! a family party wasn't complete without Uncle Wally's guitar singalongs - a perfect end to a great time. So until we meet again, we have our beautiful Uncle Wally memories that keep us close forever in our hearts. Cookie, you are a most extraordinary precious angel to take such loving care of Uncle Wally and always think of him first. God bless you! and I am grateful for all you've done, always with love. xoxoxo

I feel as though I knew Uncle Wally. I discovered his rich history through stories told by Kevin Torres. You were deeply loved, valued, and admired by many. Now go listen to some Little Jimmy Dickens music.

I did not know you. I only knew you through your great nephew Kevin Torres, who I don't know but is a local newscaster. I love reading and hearing on all of Kevin's stories. May you rest in peace and enjoy the next journey. God Bless you and those who love and had the pleasure of knowing you. LM

Cookie,
He was Uncle Wally to all of us but to you, he was a dad. He always spoke lovingly of you, as a father would feel for a daughter. Thank you for your selflessness in always making him a priority in your life. You were always there for daily meals, medications, countless doctor appointments, mowing the lawn, shoveling the driveway, doing his laundry, feeding Chico and the cats, shopping for groceries and attending to all his needs. He told us how much he enjoyed your taking him to Voss', Nicky Doodles, the cemetery, and Sunday rides. We don't know if he ever expressed to you the gratitude and love he felt for you, but he was never hesitant to express to us his appreciation for all that you did for him. He was the longest living Labuz and in no small part, it was because of you. As you deal with this heavy sense of loss, know that you were loved and cherished by your "dad". From the bottom of our hearts, Constance and Corrine
