Obituary of Alfonso A. Martingano

Alfonso A. Martingano Alfonso A. Martingano, 85, of Hilton Head Island, SC and formerly of Rome, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Hilton Head Hospital, Hilton Head, SC. He was born in Rome Hospital, Rome NY, on December 4, 1929 son of the late Louis and Mae Piccaro Martingano. Al was educated in Rome Schools and graduated from Rome Free Academy. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr. Martingano married the former Thelma Florence Campbell, who predeceased him. Al retired as a computer programmer with the U.S. Government in Columbus Ohio. Surviving are several cousins including; Josephine Barone, Anthony and Gale Barone, Angela and James Petty and Susan and Larry Woodman all of Rome. Graveside Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W.
