Obituary of Domenica "Mamie" M. Bovi

Domenica "Mamie" M. Bovi Domenica "Mamie" M. Bovi, 89, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, July 07, 2015 at Eastern Star Home, Oriskany. She was born in Rome, NY on April 4, 1926 daughter of the late Attilio and Margaret Colangelo Bovi. Domenica was a graduate of Rome Free Academy. She retired from Griffiss Air Force Base. Domenica was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving are a niece, Elaine and her husband Pat Pomento, nephews; Michael Recchio, Richard Recchio and Mark Recchio all of Rome, great nieces; Tara Pomento and Jenny Recchio, great nephews; Michael Recchio, Brian Pomento, Derek Pomento, Matt Recchio, Lee Recchio, Rich Recchio, Anthony Recchio and David Recchio, great, great nieces; Mena Brazinski and Gina Recchio, great, great nephews; Cole and Carter Brazinski. She was predeceased by two sisters and a brother-in-law; Palma Bovi, Angela and Michael Recchio, a nephew David Recchio and a niece Rose Recchio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will receive friends at St. John the Baptist Church on Thursday from 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., prior to her Funeral Mass.
