Those we love must someday pass. Beyond our present, sight…Must leave us and the world we know without their radiant light. But we know that like a candle their lovely light will shine to brighten up another place more perfect… more divine. You will be missed. - See more at: http://njbushfuneralhome.com/tribute/details/579/Garrie_Amidon/condolences.html#content-start

Some people are fortunate enough to have someone special in their lives who, even though they each may fellow their separate ways, continue to share a special bond. That is how I felt about my brother Garrie. From across the miles I want you to know today that you are especially on my mind. This is for you Garrie, given with a special kind of love. I want to thank you…not for any one particular reason, but for everything. Thank you for all the times in my life you were such a vital part of growing up. Many have touched the edges of my life…coming and going scarcely leaving an impression. However, because of the different paths we took not many people knew just how close we were growing up. I’ll never forget that you were my protector and all the fun we had including the apartment we shared. And you will never know how much I loved you.
Right now is a sad time. The journey of life on earth takes us through many times of happiness and sadness. We remember the happy times as the most loved and enriching experiences of all. Although the sad times do not outwardly appear to benefit us, they are in reality, what builds strength and character in all of us. It is not always easy…this thing called life. Plans do not always work out the way they are suppose to and losing a loved one sometimes clouds the horizon. However, I do not believe that you would want that today for any of us. Therefore, no matter how lonely the morning sun becomes we always have to remember that it is up to us- we are the ones that have to push the clouds away.
Your journey has just begun. Garrie I won’t think of you as gone away. Life holds so many facets…this earth is only one. I will think of you as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years. I’m going to think that you must be wishing that we could know, today, how nothing but our sadness can really pass away. In addition, think of you as living in the hearts of those you touched…for nothing loved is ever lost…and you were loved so much. Those we love must someday pass. Beyond our present, sight…Must leave us and the world we know without their radiant light. But we know that like a candle their lovely light will shine to brighten up another place more perfect… more divine. You will be missed.

I was Garrie's best friend from the ages of 11 to 14 until I moved away. Trouble was our forte'. We'd blame each other for each other's wrongdoings. He'd say he was Tom and I'd say I was Garrie. I'll always cherish those memories.

Garrie was a special person to me, he is my son's grandfather.. My son Anthony lived by EVERY word his grandfather spoke and will cherish all the memories they have together. The bond they shared was unbreakable. I will miss you Garrie, rest easy and look over your boys.. Love you!

My very sweet brother! You are already being missed by so many of us. I am just so glad you aren't suffering anymore. I love you and will see you again sometime down the road. I will never forget the nickname you gave me when I was little and will always cherish you calling me "Little Louie". Thank you so much for your love and for accepting my husband into your life. You were one of his favorites. Rest in Peace big brother, until we see each other again.
