Aubrey "Mack" D. Womack
Aubrey "Mack" D. Womack, 82, of Rome passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing. He was born in Farmville, VA, on February 18, 1933, son of the late Benjamin and Amelia Scott Womack. Mack proudly served for twenty years with the United States Air Force in Korea, Vietnam and Germany retiring in 1972 as a Staff Sgt. In 1961 he married Anna L. Werner in Grace Union Church, Rome. Mack was a former employee of Rome Cable.
Surviving besides his wife Anna are a son, Daniel Womack, Rome, two brothers and sisters-in-law; James and Rachel Womack, Steelton, PA, Frederick and Mary Womack, Rome, a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and McCarthy Eanes, Upper Marlboro, MD, sisters-in-law; Earmean Womack, Brooklyn, NY, Barbara Kovatch, Germany, an aunt, Frances Scott, VA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers Benjamin Jr. and Clarence Womack.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1006 W. Embargo St., Rome. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
