I was so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. He was a special person, a fantastic teacher and a joy to have known. Joe worked in the special education department as a special education teacher which I supervised. He had a special connection to all the children he worked with. His positive, upbeat attitude was contagious to both students and staff. He is leaving us way too soon. My deepest sympathy to the whole family and his many friends.

We are both shocked and saddened by Joe's passing. He was such a wonderful caring and proud family man with a zest for life. We will always cherish the fun times we spent with him, Ann, Pepper and Cathy in Florida and at the Jays/Yankees games here in Toronto. We will forever miss his endless repertoire of jokes, his huge smile and, of course, his infectious laugh. Our heartfelt sympathy to Ann and the family. Joe will forever have a place in our hearts. Even though we can't be there, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this devastating time. With much love, Gail and Dave

I have known Joe since 1st grade. As a retired Rome teacher, in special education, we used to run Into each other over the years! Always humorous and with a smile, you always felt better after speaking with him. I am so shocked and broken hearted to hear of his passing!! I know he is in the arms of our Lord! He will be missed by many!! Gone too soon, as was his brother, Phil !
